Save a little this season while having fun crafting in the process by following my step-by-step tutorial!
Step 1: Clean your glass jar thouroughly and let dry.
Step 2: Print out your tree stencils. Note, there are two size options in the printable PDF. Print the option that works best for your jar!
Step 3: Trim your stencil if needed.
Step 4: Tape your stencil to the inside of your glass jar to secure it in place.
Step 5: Test your paint marker on scrap paper to ensure the paint is flowing. Then, begin tracing the stencil!
Step 6: Peel off your stencil to reveal! Finish with a candle for a gorgeous glowing holiday themed centerpiece.
Styling Ideas for Your Upcycled Glass Jar

Once your done transforming your glass jar into a beautiful holiday decoration, it’s time to style it! As pictured, I suggested pairing it with a few additional candles, either small votives or taper candles, to create a warm, festive, holiday centerpiece.
I grabbed the taper candles and holders pictured at the Dollar Tree and “painted” them with green wax from some old tea lights I had lying around.
Another upcycled holiday idea you could pair with this upcycled glass jar is thrifted crystal jar candles! They are gorgeous and add vintage charm to your holiday aesthetic.
However way you choose to style your upclyced glass jar, you can’t go wrong! Share you creations on Instagram or Facebook and tag @SavvySwarey so I can check them out.
Happy crafting, and have a wonderful holiday season!
