Truth or Dare Jenga Supplies
To make your own Truth or Dare Jenga Game, you only need a few supplies:
1. Jenga game:
- Grab the full size version on Amazon
- Or, sometimes you can find mini versions at Dollar Tree
2. Acrylic paint (optional): Skip this step if you prefer the natural wood look!
- Choose two colors—one for truths and one for dares.
- Here’s a great starter paint set if you don’t already have some at home
3. Fine-tip paint pens:
- Use silver or white on dark paint colors, and black on light colors
- My go-to paint pens are Posca (this black and white combo pack is perfect)
4. Sealer: I used clear nail polish, but Modge Podge is better (and not as smelly!)

Depending on whether you get your supplies on Amazon, or Dollar Tree, this project can be made for $10 – $25! Bonus if you’ve already got some of these supplies at home!
How to make your own Truth or Dare Jenga
Step 1: Paint the Jenga Blocks (Optional)
If you prefer a more natural look, skip this step and move on to the next. However… colorful Jenga blocks are way more fun!
- Paint half of your blocks with one color, the other half another color. As you can see, I chose pink and red to fit my Galentine’s Day party theme, but feel free to use any two colors you like that fit your party vibe!
- Give them two coats and then let the blocks dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Step 2: Write your Truths and Dares
Grab your fine-tip pens and start writing a truth or dare on each block. If you’re using two colors, be consistent—truths on one color and dares on the other.
Not sure what to write? Check out list of truth and dare ideas.
Step 3: Seal the Jenga Blocks
To keep your painted blocks smooth and easy to slide, finish them with a couple coats of Modge Podge (or clear nail polish). This step is crucial if you’ve painted the blocks, as the paint can make them sticky.

That’s it—your custom DIY Truth or Dare Jenga game is ready to see some action!
How to Play Truth or Dare Jenga
Playing truth or dare Jenga works just like the normal game, except in between block-pulling, you get to complete fun dares and answer the tough (or silly) questions!
- Stack the blocks like a normal Jenga game
- Each player takes a turn pulling a block
- If they pull a truth, they answer the question. If they pull a dare, they’ll need to complete the challenge.
- Keep going until someone knocks over the whole tower.
This easy DIY makes the perfect bachelorette party activity, or game for any girly gathering. You’ll break the ice, share some laughs, and make unforgettable memories.
