Football Watch Party Decoration Ideas
Creating a winning atmosphere doesn’t have to break the bank. Here’s how to make your space feel game-day ready with a mix of DIY magic and a little creativity:
1. Football Field Tablecloth and Themed Accessories
Set the foundation for your snack table with a tablecloth that resembles a football field, paired with football-themed plates and cups. Add a splash of color with yellow and red napkins as “penalty flags” and “challenge flags.” Guests will love the attention to detail!
You can find all of these supplies at the Dollar Tree, or for convenience, I’ve dropped links to similar supplies you can shop on Amazon and have them delivered right to your doorstep!
2. DIY Game-Play Table Runner
Transform an old wrapping paper tube into a one-of-a-kind game-play table runner! Here’s how:
- On low heat, carefully iron out the tube to flatten it.
- Use a Sharpie to sketch out a pretend football play.
This runner adds a playful, personalized touch to your snack table and is a fun way to repurpose items you already have at home.
An alternative is to grab a roll of craft paper at Dollar Tree. For just a $1.25, you can create a fun, on-theme table runner for your game-day celebration!

3. DIY “Lombardi Trophy” Snack Table Centerpiece
Channel championship vibes with a homemade “Lombardi Trophy” centerpiece!

All you need is:
- A foam cone or triangular vase
- Mini foam football
- Silver metallic spray paint
- Box cutter
- Hot glue gun
HOT TIP: You can find most of the above at the Dollar Tree!
Cut the end of the foam cone at an angle. Attach the cone to the football using hot glue. Spray the foam pieces with a metallic silver spray paint (make sure you’re in a well ventilated area!). Let dry.
The result? A mini Lombardi trophy replica you can award to the winner of your bracket! More on that later…
