Supplies You’ll Need:

Supplies you need for a DIY photo frame centerpiece
  • 4 Photo Frames (I used four 4”x6” frames – shop options here!)
  • Hot Glue Gun (I just bought this hot glue gun if you don’t already have one! Super affordable, and CORDLESS!)
  • Flat Head Screwdriver (hopefully you have one of these lying around already!)
  • Vase (small enough to fit inside the centerpiece – these 6″ tall vases would work perfectly!)
  • Flowers (fresh or faux, depending on your preference – shop on sale faux flowers and greenery here!)

DIY Photo Frame Centerpiece Instructions:

DIY photo frame centerpiece assembly instructions

1. Prepare Your Frames

Using a flat head screwdriver, carefully pop off the photo stands from the back of each frame. Insert the screwdriver under the fasteners and gently loosen them until the stands come off. This will help the frames sit flush when assembled.

Next, remove the photo backers and glass from each frame. Set the glass and backers aside for now—you’ll reinsert them later.

2. Assemble the Frames

Take your hot glue gun and apply a generous bead of glue along the corner edge of the first frame. Press the second frame firmly into place at a 90-degree angle. Hold the frames together for about 30 seconds to ensure the glue sets.

Repeat this process to attach the third and fourth frames, creating a rectangular (or square) structure. Make sure all corners are aligned for a clean look.

3. Let It Dry

Allow the glue to dry completely. This typically takes a few minutes, but for extra security, wait at least 10 minutes before moving on to the next step. Once the glue is dry, gently peel away any stray glue strings or residue for a polished finish.

4. Reassemble the Frames

Carefully reinsert the glass panels into each frame. Slide in your selected photos and secure them with the backers you set aside earlier. If you’re planning to use this as part of a guessing game (see tip below), you can add numbers or clues to each photo.

5. Add the Finishing Touches

Place a small vase in the center of the frame structure. Fill the vase with fresh or faux flowers to complete the centerpiece. You can customize the flowers to match your event’s color scheme or theme.

I originally made this with photos for my sister in law’s bridal shower using faux flowers, but then repurposed it for a Mother’s Day brunch centerpiece (pictured here) with fresh flowers, so it’s super versatile for all of your celebrations!

Bonus Idea: Gamify Your Photo Frame Centerpiece!

I love elements that kill two birds with one stone. And this photo frame centerpiece can easily pull double duty by turning it into a game for your guests!

Perfect as a fun bridal shower game, or baby shower game where entertainment is absolutely expected, simply add numbers to each photo, provide guessing cards, and have guests try to guess the age of the guest of honor in each photo!

Here are a few neutral, affordable guessing cards you can grab from Amazon that’ll go with any theme:

It’s a great way to share memories, spark conversation, and… simplify your planning process! Win-win-win!
