Step-by-Step DIY Thanksgiving Centerpiece Tutorial
When it comes to creating a beautiful tablescape, it’s all about the details. This DIY Thanksgiving centerpiece is the perfect way to elevate your holiday table. Follow my step-by-step guide below, or watch my video tutorial to recreate this look, and then grab your supplies at the links below!
Step 1: Create your foundation
I found faux maple leaf garlands at the Dollar Tree to create a perfect foundation for this DIY Thanksgiving centerpiece. I arranged them artfully (or as creatively as I could haha) along the length of the table.
Step 2: Add your feature elements
There are a ton of Fall decorations from the Dollar Tree that offer the perfect accents to a stunning yet budget-friendly tablescape. The stars of this festive tablescape are the pumpkins. I chose a mix of ceramic and faux leather pumpkins.
These little gems serve as the perfect focal point for your centerpiece. Arrange them artfully along the table over top of your maple leaf garlands.
Step 3: Add your filler
To fill in my DIY Thanksgiving centerpiece, I collected some pine cones from my yard, baked them at a low temp to get any little bugs outta there, and then arranged them in and around my pumpkins. They really help add a natural and cozy feel to your tablescape.
Step 4: Add votives
For a warm and inviting ambiance, add small votive candles. You can tuck these in along either side of your arrangement.
Psssttt! Want to know my secret? These votives were made using old Oui Jars and melted down Dollar Tree candles!
Step 5: Set your place settings
Last but not least, it’s time for the place settings! To complement my DIY Thanksgiving centerpiece, I used thrifted vintage-style goblets and gold silverware. I paired these with wood grain chargers and cream cloth napkins to bring in an earthy and rustic element. I chose to simply bunch and tie the napkins with an orange ginham print ribbon.
